A terrific end to a fantastic Sri Lanka vacation for adventurers Lisa and Manju
Happy campers Lisa and Manju, fresh from their tented adventures in Yala National Park, are now heading home with delightful memories of their Sri Lanka vacation.
They arrived on our Paradise island with Pledge Holidays and sky-high expectations—and were not disappointed with an itinerary that included wildlife safaris, white-water rafting, hot-air ballooning—and some great food!
Writes Manju: “As we head back to Hong Kong thoroughly baked by the sun, we will remember the beautiful smiles, friendly people, amazing wildlife, gorgeous places and delicious food of Sri Lanka.
“Had it not been for our chauffeur guide Mr Vicky’s sense of humour, knowledge and professionalism, this trip may not have been as fun. He is truly a great guide and an asset to Pledge Holidays.”
Lisa previously wrote: “We chose Pledge Holidays because we really liked the look of your website, which is really clear and informative, and the blog, which tells us so much about Sri Lanka. We’re going to love it here!”
She also had some kind words for our tour executive Gothami Amarasena, who put together their 12-day itinerary, which includes a bit of everything from culture to wildlife to adventure.
The final leg of their trip was spent at Galle “where we finally left the forest for the gorgeous sea. We went whale watching in Mirissa and the usually calm sea was very rough that day so we had a few people battling seasickness.
“The early 5am start paid off when we caught sight of three blue whales. Was definitely an amazing sight. The boat handlers served us tea/coffee, breakfast and later fruits, amidst rough waters while performing the perfect balancing act we’ve ever witnessed. We were very impressed.
“The holiday culminated with a scrumptious seafood meal at Ministry of Crabs in Colombo (main picture).”
