Sri Lanka will host the first ever Ceylon Tea Festival from August 11–13 2017, bringing together a wide array of events and activities.
The three-day festival will provide a range of free and ticketed events, tea appreciation master-classes, tea banquets with world-class Michelin-starred chefs, pop-up tea galleries, food markets, tea tastings, tea and wellness, high teas, tea brunches and tea with music.
This will be Sri Lanka’s first luxury food, drink and leisure festival focused around our most prized premium export.
The event, designed and conceptualized by Dentsu Grant Group, hopes to attract a new generation of tea connoisseurs.
It will be held annually in Colombo and amongst the tea estates of the Hill Country, and aims to attract the most sophisticated tastemakers and foodies.
The festival also brings together the Sri Lanka Tea Board, the Colombo Tea Traders Association and Sri Lanka Tourism with prestigious brands like Mastercard to support the event.
