More seaplane flights will give tourists more time to enjoy the best experiences that Sri Lanka has to offer
Tourists who want to make the most of their time seeing the best of Sri Lanka will be pleased to hear that the island’s seaplane service is being extended.
Cinnamon Air is the premier domestic Sri Lankan air taxi service offering daily scheduled flights, luxury private charters and scenic trips.
The latest daily scheduled flights, from the cultural city of Sigiriya to Sri Lanka’s Southern coastal cities, Hambantota and Koggala, will start on December 1.
Travellers in and around our famed Cultural Triangle will be able to fly to the south in less than an hour, compared to 7–8 hours by road.
This will allow them more time to explore and unwind at our many outstanding beach resorts.
Going the other way, beach lovers will have ready access to inland attractions such as Sigiriya, Anuradhapura, Polonnaruwa, Dambulla, Habarana.
The flights will also provide eye-opening low-level views of our amazing landscapes as well as allow tourists more time to enjoying their holidays.
Says Cinnamon Air boss Sean Dwight: “Visitors prefer to spend more time in one location with a few select day-excursions to explore other parts of the country.
“The availability flights from a central point of the Cultural triangle to the South Coast will further enhance the tourists holiday experience in Sri Lanka, boosting the nation’s tourism industry as a whole”.
