More madness, more mayhem, and much, much more fun! Yes, it’s that time of year again! Time for The Lanka Challenge tuk-tuk tearaways to take on the best Sri Lanka has to offer.

Hard on the heels of last year’s Southern Route, this year’s Northern Route, from April 20–29, now crooks a beckoning finger!

What is it?

“The Lanka Challenge is the ultimate rickshaw run Sri Lanka. You’ll get to enjoy 10 amazing days of driving around Sri Lanka in a rickshaw with one or two of your friends while taking part in various challenges as you roll along on a 1,000 kilometre journey through one of the most beautiful countries in the world.

“We’ll give you a lesson on how to handle your tuk tuk and set up the logistical stuff, like accommodations, but the rest will be up to you. Each morning, you’ll receive information regarding that day’s destination and the challenges for your team to accomplish along the way.”

And it ain’t as easy as it sounds!

Questions you will be forced to ask yourself during the Lanka Challenge include: Who’s going to go and get a photo of that crocodile? Who’s going to get us invited to a local’s place for lunch? Who’s going to take one for the team in the chilli-eating challenge? What day is it? And where did I put my Imodium?

Tough. Damned tough. But someone’s got to do it.

“One hell of an amazing time is guaranteed. Life-changing experiences are probable. Navigational stupidity is optional.”

Here’s what you’ll be letting yourself in for:

1000 km travelled (approx).

9 nights (includes 1 camping night).

10 days (includes 1 rest day).

10–20 teams.

30–55 challengers.
