A blonde bombshell’s guide to the peerless attractions of Sri Lanka’s exotic tropicality
If it was possible to actually wear an exotic location like a bejeweled fashion accessory, we’re sure the equally exotic former German model Leonie would find a way.
The blonde bombshell was in Sri Lanka recently to add spice and colour to her newest venture, the OHH Couture travel blog highlighting all the best things in life, particularly if they create a vibrant backdrop for her own eclectic lifestyle.
After being named one of the most promising talents of the textile industry by German textile journal Textilwirtschaft, Leonie decided to “fulfill her dream of working independently on her own fashion and lifestyle blog”.
Her Sri Lanka Travel Guide came about after a visit with her sister, an equally avid fan of tropical exotica. Writes Leonie: “When deciding on a travel itinerary we soon realized that there are unbelievably many options in Sri Lanka.
“As we wanted a mixture of nature, culture and beaches, we decided on the following itinerary: Kandy – Nuwara Eliya – Ella – Yala National Park – Marissa – Komboo lake – Galle/Unawatuna.”
She says: “Even though it turned out that we scheduled so many things that there was little time to relax, we’ve been super happy with our trip and I can only recommend Sri Lanka to anyone who loves to travel.
“Rich culture, UNESCO World Heritages, yum food, friendly people and sooo much to discover. It is definitely the variety whitch made me fall so badly for this place.
“One day we were exploring the endless greens of the tea plantation of Nuwara Eliya and the next days we saw elephants and a leopard on our open jeep safari tour.
“I still find it hard to believe how much we’ve seen and experienced in less than two weeks… I hope you will enjoy my travel tips and Sri Lanka pictures. xx Leonie.”
